GROWING
It seems today’s world is more hectic than ever. When I return to Marfa it seems that it takes me at least 3 days to reach a calm. We always feel that we need to be doing something. Work, house duties, kids, phones, there is hardly a moment to reflect and just be anymore. Something as simple as watching our chickens grow and realizing they actually make good pets brings back a wonder I sometimes think us lost. Take time to really observe the world around you, take a moment to yourself and just breath.

Well we bit the bullet! We officially have 10 new chicks for the Thunderbird “coop”. If you have a history with our hotel you know we used have have the feathery animals in our back yard space behind the warehouse (hence the “coop”). I can’t wait for the fuzzy little bitties to grow and especially for the delicious eggs! Check back for their progress.
